3 ways to use Aloe Vera in DIYs and incorporate it into your Skincare Routine -

1. Aloe Vera & Cucumber for Sensitive Skin
Often used in herbal remedies, the succulent plant guarantees to tackle any and every skin woe. With water as the main component, it makes for an excellent hydrating moisturizer while soothing irritated inflamed skin. A go-to DIY for the sensitive skin type, the concoction of aloe vera plus cucumber ensures to tackle flaky itching skin while simultaneously nourishing it. To make the recipe, take 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel, 2 teaspoons of cucumber juice or grated cucumber, and a few drops of rose water. Mix the ingredients well before applying to the face and leave it to rest for 20 minutes. Once dry, wash it off with water followed by a light cream to lock the moisture in.

2. Aloe vera, tomato & besan Face Pack
With gram flour performing as a great exfoliate, tomato’s natural hydration and aloe vera’s anti-inflammatory property, this face pack is a definite holy grail for dry skin types. To create it, mix 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, 2 teaspoons of tomato juice and 1 teaspoon of gram flour, bring everything together and slather it onto your face and neck area, leaving it to rest for 15 minutes. Now, dampen the mixture and remove it in a circular motion while gently scrubbing the skin. Lastly, completely wash it off with lukewarm water and apply any gentle cream.

3. Papaya and aloe vera pack for combination skin
Struggling with oily T-zone while other areas act dry and patchy, dealing with combination skin is a whole task in itself. Cue the papaya and aloe vera DIY that will be your ultimate skin saviour. It successfully balances skin’s moisturising levels and controls sebum production. To make the face pack, take 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel, 3 pieces of mashed papaya with a few drops of rose water, mix the natural concoction well before applying to the face and neck. Leave to rest for 10-15 minutes before removing with water and finishing off with a light moisturiser.
